Controversy on Yu Yureka continues, company sold only 3000 units rather the said 10000 units

Micromax Yu Yureka smartphone went on of its first flash sale on Tuesday and the company said that they offered a total of 10,000 units of the smartphone in the flash sale via Amazon India. The sale was completed in just 3 seconds however it is being said that only 3000 units were put on sale and 2650 units were sold out of those.

The quick close of the sale also generated plenty of negative sentiment online with many prospective buyers turning to Twitter to vent after failing to get their hands on a unit. These claims come from blogger Abhay Rana who has done quite a bit of research on the flash sale for the Yu Yureka smartphone.

On his blog, Rana shared details about the lightning deal which are available if you invoke Amazon’s API, showing that only 3,000 units were available, and only 88 percent were claimed. He explains that the Amazon deal client constantly checks on the status of the deal in order to keep the page updated and it also provides the aforementioned information.

These details include:

  • totalCouponCount: 3000
  • claimedCouponCount: 2657
  • percentClaimed: 88
  • title: Yureka
  • dealPrice: 8999
  • currentPrice: 12999

Here’s what Abhay Rana wrote in his post.

The next sale for the Yureka smartphone will be on January 22. Although Amazon has not yet displayed the registration option for the next flash sale on their site but you could keep in touch with us for more updates on Yureka.
